Bigfoot Sighting in Simpson County – KY
August 2007, My boyfriend who is an avid motor sports freak and I decided to head to Simpson County for some 4 wheeling. I did the usual packed up some snacks and drinks as he loaded up the 4 wheelers.
We set out towards Franklin, KY near the location we were planning to do some riding. We unloaded the vehicles had a snack, started the ATVs and headed out for some riding in the woods.
The ride was enjoyable, the woods, the trees and animals. About awhile of riding we noticed a dead deer by the path. We drove about another half mile and found another dead dear. I found that a little odd 2 dead deer in less than a mile apart.

It started to get dark and we thought we could save some time by taking the creek. In the creek we passed rows and rows of trees on both sides of the creek. Driving further up the creek the trees became thicker and thicker with the tall weeds on either side. I could feel my 4 wheeler hitting a few rocks but overall it was a good ride.
We’ve been riding for some time now in the creek and came up on a bridge (I 65 S left on 100 4th rd to right go to stop sign take a left).
Riding up on a deep spot in the water, my boyfriend was looking down to make sure that he did drown it out.
I looked to the left and spotted something in the cane weeds along side the creek. What I saw made the entire forest start closing in on me. big and furry standing in the 7ft tall cane weeds. It towered over the cane weeds it must of been 9 feet tall. It was big and covered in brown fur standing amongst the cane weeds and us. I couldn’t make out any facial features but I did notice that it had ears on the sides of the head, they where what appeared to be pointed and covered completely with hair.
When it saw us it turned an walked off apparently unconcerned about seeing us, with its arms swinging. I noticed its back was about 3ft wide and covered in light brown fur.
I’ve been 4 wheeling many times after that encounter in Simpson County. I never saw such a creature since. It was truely massive and there are no words to describe it other than it was a “Monster”.
